Water fun!

2 years old!

Andrew had a fantastic 2nd birthday! He loved his cake and opening all his fun presents with help from his big brother. We can't believe our baby is two years old already!

Father's Day

It was great to celebrate Steve today! We started the day with a yummy fruit, egg, and croissant breakfast. We then headed for the local farmer's market for some shopping, fun live music and another coffee break. For lunch we shared a great BBQ with friends and afterwards went home for a group nap. This afternoon Steve and Thomas detailed the cars and then we took a picnic out to the skate boards park where the boys love to watch the skateboarders and some time on the playground. It was a really great day, and we hope all our dads had a great one, too!

Nottingham Visit

We've just returned from a fantastic trip to Nottingham and a great visit with our good friends Natalio and Lenka.

Steve spent two days working with Nat and his students, and we spent several days touring the city and remembering our favorite places and walks. We also visited our old apartments and took Thomas to see his very first home!

We snuck in a weekend trip to the North Sea coast, visiting Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. The boys loved the beach, but the water was too cold for me to swim! Our last day we all had a fabulous barbeque with friends.

It was such a great time and we have even more lovely memories of Nottingham and friends. More photos here.

Visitors

We had a great and busy visit with the KS Gustafsons!


This last weekend's adventures included a trip to the Clark art museum in Williamstown MA and a day trip to NYC on the train - an adventure indeed!










Our trip to the City included a walk through Times Square, Central Park, and the Staten Island ferry which gives a great view of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline.

Memorial Day Weekend

We've had a fun and busy Memorial Day weekend with the Gustafsons here, first with a trip to Cooperstown NY and the Baseball Hall of fame, and with a backyard BBQ with friends tonight.

Happy Mothers Day

This weekend we enjoyed the tulip festival which celebrates the city's dutch roots and spring, of course! We had a great day and the flowers were beautiful. Andrew even managed to grab a nap in the buggy while we watched a capoeira demonstration.
