Memorial Day Weekend

We've really been enjoying the long weekend and nice weather we're having in NY. Thomas has been going to the park everyday so far! We're trying to make the most of our last few weeks as a family of 3.

We walked past a garage sale yesterday where Thomas got this great new toy - I think we have a future drummer! Scroll down for a video of the action.

Happy Niska-Day

Today is Niska-Day, a community celebration with a parade and fair at the high school. Thomas got two lollipops during the parade and had to have them both at once! Unfortunately it is rainy and cold today so we might not go to all the events. Maybe next year...

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Thomas is all snuggled up enjoying Sesame Street while mom and dad make breakfast. He knows most of the characters names now and has started asking to watch a 'show' whenever we are downstairs.

Swimming lessons

Here's a photo from Thomas' weekly swimming class at the high school. Steve was able to sneak away from work so I decided to sit this one out and enjoy it from the sidelines! Thomas has learned how to kick and paddle with his arms on front and back, jumping in from the side to mom and dad, and going underwater (although he is not a huge fan of this!)

Playing in the yard

Thomas in his freshly filled sandbox and watering the daffodils - we love spending time outside! We planted over twice the amount of daffodils but the squirrels dug them all up. At least we got a few!

Busy bees

With Kristin's final exams looming and Steve both watching Thomas so Kristin can study and working hard on his work projects, we've been super lazy about getting the camera out lately! Hopefully we'll be back to the normal routine soon.

In the meantime, here is a photo from a playdate we went to back in March, the event was finger painting with pudding. As you can see, Thomas preferred to eat his paint rather than draw with it! It was a lot of fun and the host was very brave to try it.
