Andrew's 4 month checkup

Andrew had his doctor's appt this morning, and is taking after his brother's lollipop-shaped measurements at this age: 50th percentile for weight, 95th percentile for height and 75th percentile for head circumference (tall and skinny!). He also got the green light for starting rice cereal and vitamin drops. He was very smiley and happy for the doctor until the shots came out!

Thomas also got a flu shot which came as an unpleasant surprise for him. He received a popsicle when he got home which eased the pain slightly. We've got a great tap-dancing video to share, click here to view.

PS- the boys do get dressed occasionally!

New Trike

Nat and Lenka sent Thomas a tricycle, and he has loved pedalling it up and down the driveway. We can't believe how big he looks on that big boy trike! Below is a video of him in action.

Rock Star

We get so many comments from people on Andrew's hair. It is very long and an unusual golden brown color for such a little boy! I've been describing his hairdo to people as a 'Rock Star shag' so when we saw this little outfit we had to get it. Rock on!

Birthday Weekend

We had a great weekend, full of activities to celebrate Steve's birthday!

Saturday morning we drove into Vermont to view the changing leaves and attend a foliage festival. We had a picnic lunch in the town green in front of a 200 year old church built by Elisha Scott.

On Sunday we went to Bowman's Orchard to pick apples and admire the farm animals and pumpkins. We brought home a huge bag of apples and some yummy apple cider. Steve spent the evening making dried apple chips and applesauce.

Monday was Steve's big day, and we celebrated with a tiramisu birthday cake (as per his request) for the adults and cupcakes for Thomas. Steve got some nice presents, and after the kids went to bed we had a delicious steak dinner. I wish every weekend could be a birthday weekend!

Future singing star

Thomas has become quite the little singer with a pretty good repetoire for a two year old! This is the first time we've been able to film him singing since he usually stops as soon as he sees the camera going. This one is 'Little Ducks' by Raffi.
