Early Christmas

Christmas came early at the NY Gustafson house, so that we could have some time to play with the new toys before we travel. Thomas loves the new train table, which Steve made by making a top for our old coffee table. We've all had a lot of fun playing with it today!

Winter wonderland

We've gotten about a foot and a half of snow since Thursday, and it is super cold! Here are Steve and Thomas clearing off the driveway yet again.

Andrew is modelling his new pair of shoes in an attempt to keep him from pulling his socks off. He's working on his rolling skills (both ways now!) and is trying very hard to sit up.

We're getting ready for the trip to KS in a few days with all the packing and laundry that it entails - and I'm busily working on a school report due a few days after we return to NY.

Rollover

Andrew is growing up so quickly - and is starting to roll over when on his mat! Here he is, surprised to find himself on his tummy.

The ABCs

video

Here is Thomas showing off his version of the ABCs. He can pick out a lot of letters, but is everyday getting better. This little boy loves to sing and knows almost all the words on his favorite Raffi tape that we listen to in the car.

You might notice that we have a lot of photos of him in this shirt, which is his absolute favorite (thanks Grandma Suzanne!). It rarely makes it into the dresser drawer after being washed - once he spots it in the laundry basket he has to wear it!

Advent Calendar

.
Here is Thomas with the Advent calendar that I grew up with - slightly updated with a few new ornaments from Aunt Stephanie. He has loved picking out an ornament every morning so far!

We had our first snowfall of the season this weekend, and it's been in the 30s all week. It can't be winter already!

Andrew had his first taste of fruit this weekend, with mashed banana. It went down pretty well! He is definitely learning from his big brother.
