Rose Garden

We received our new digital camera this week and took it to the Rose Garden in Schenectady Central Park this weekend to figure out how to use it! Here are some of the best shots. Shortly after these shots were taken, Andrew took a header into a rose bush and the resulting huge scratches over his face and arms ended the outing!

Grafton Lake

One of our day trips with Natalio was to Grafton Lake State Park, a very picturesque lake surrounded by forest. It has been very hot and muggy here so swimming in the cold lake was perfect!

Natalio Visit

Hot on the heels of Bonnie's visit, our friend Natalio from Nottingham came to stay and play with us for a few days. We had a lot of fun with him, good food and touring the area a little bit. Now it's just us again until we can convince someone else to visit! Any takers?

Visit from Grandma

Here are some photos from Grandma Bonnie's visit. We had a great time and I think we all gained weight from the great food and eating out. I appreciated the company and help with the boys while Steve was out of town!

Steve had a successful conference in Atlanta, where he chaired the graduate workshop and a GP session. He has been asked for a repeat performance at next year's GECCO conference in Montreal.

Thomas is 3!

Thomas had a nice 3rd birthday, and we are glad that we are through with birthdays for awhile! It has been fun. We made a photo album of the day's events to share.

Birthday Party

Yesterday afternoon we staged our first ever joint birthday party in the backyard for the boys with their friends. We went with a potluck theme instead of gifts, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Thomas joined right in the singing with a special verse, 'Happy Birthday to ME!'

Cancun

We had a fantastic time in Mexico with Kristin's extended family! We spent many lazy hours on the beach and are still talking about the fun times in the 'kitty-cat' pool.

We will post a photo album in the next day or two. The boys' joint birthday party is tomorrow afternoon so now we will start getting ready for that!
