Halloween Preview

Halloween isn't until tomorrow, but we've already celebrated twice! Yesterday, the boys went to the moms group party. This year, they are Blue and Steve from Blue's Clues. Thomas is very excited to wear his costume and pretend to be Blue from one of his favorite shows.

Preparing for the moms group party

This morning, Thomas' preschool class had their Halloween party and the parents got to stay for awhile to watch the festivities and take a few photos.

They also did some songs for us, including this one. Guess who the best is?

No more Monkeys

We have a book of the song 'No More Monkeys jumping on the Bed' which both boys get a kick out of. Andrew especially loves the finger-wagging part.

Raking time

We made the first stab at raking up the autumn leaves this weekend, with lots of help from Thomas & Andrew! We got half of the backyard done, filling all 4 trash cans, and now wait for those to be picked up to do the next round. It was a gorgeous day and we tried to make the most of this last gasp of nice weather. Snow has been forecast for later this week.

So Pretty

''Someone'' found the diaper bag unattended and made themselves free with my lipstick - pretty! The usual suspect for diaper bag rifling is Andrew who is usually on the hunt for snacks.

Gustafson Visit

Another great visit this week, from the Gustafsons! We enjoyed visiting an apple orchard, eating nice meals, and took a day trip to Hudson NY to sightsee and visit the NY Firefighters museum. Our two little firefighters-in-training had a great time and some fun hat souvenirs.
The NYGustafson B&B is still open for business, who's next?

Chocolate Lollipops

The boys enjoyed their lollipops that Grandma Suzanne bought them in Vermont! Looks like Steve enjoyed them as well...

DeWeese Visit

We've had a really nice visit from Dad and Suzanne! Today we drove into Vermont to enjoy the fall foliage, pet a moose, and pick out a pumpkin or three. We've all been spoiled by the eating out and playing with new toys. Thanks for visiting us!

Birthday Steve!

We had a day full of activities to celebrate Steve's birthday! We started off with a big cooked breakfast and then a walk down by the Mohawk river. After lunch we opened presents, and later on had friends over for pizza and tiramisu birthday cake. It was a fun day for all of us!

Apple Picking

We took our first apple-picking trip of the season, and it was a perfect fall day! Thomas picked many many apples and both boys enjoyed seeing all the farm animals. Andrew is learning his animal sounds and greeted the horses with a huge 'NEIGH!'
